February has been a very busy month in Cloughduv NS with lots of fun experiences for the children. As so many festivities fell during the month, different classes tried new activities. 1st Class celebrated the Chinese New Year with their new student & her Mom who showed the children how to write in Mandarin. Pancake Tuesday saw lots of flipping (& eating!) around the school. 2nd class even had a pancake race! St. Brigid’s Day encouraged the older classes to use their crafting skills to make St. Brigid’s day crosses-not as easy as it looks! The younger classes enjoyed making their Valentine’s Day cards for their loved ones. Plenty of sports activities- hurling & football coaches have been generously provided by our local GAA clubs. The school is very grateful for that.
