What a Start to our Summer Term!

You would be forgiven for believing that we have started a garden centre here at school, but no, it is the green-fingered pupils who have been busy planting and growing a variety of fruit and vegetables. Libraries Ireland and Local Authorities Ireland are teaming to run ‘Keep Well in Your Community’ – Grow It Forward’ and several classes are a part of this initiative. From strawberries to potatoes, carrots to beetroot, pupils will soon enjoy the  ‘fruit’ of their labours.  Also, classes are learning about the importance of caring for our environment and recycling, all as a part of Earth Day. We would like to thank a Junior Infant family for sending in some lovely sunflower seedlings, they will be a cheery addition to our school environment!
Finally, we are delighted to welcome Ms. Masters and Mr. Daly-Bütz to our school as part of their teaching practice, they are a welcome addition to our Cloughduv staff!
