Graduation

We were delighted to be able to have an in person Graduation for the first time in 3 years. We bid a fond farewell to a marvellous class! Go n-eirí an bothar libh!

Tour: Junior Infants to 2nd

Junior Infants to 2nd hopped onto a double decker bus and spent a day in Fota Wildlife Park. They had the most beautiful weather in which to explore it. They saw numerous different animals and learned facts about them. A picnic was enjoyed in the sunshine!

School Tour 3rd to 6th

3rd to 6th class went on their school tour to Cork. They toured City Gaol where they learned about its history and the stories of former prisoners. They enjoyed lunch in  Fitzgerald’s Park. The day finished in Airtastic where they had great fun in the game zone and played mini golf.
Great fun was had by all !

Green Schools

We were delighted to receive our Water Flag this year. The committee were interviewed online in March and there was an online ceremony on Wednesday, 25th May which we were able to watch. Thanks to Ms. O’ Riordan and her team for all their hard work making us aware of water conservation.

Fun Day

On Monday, 13th June we held a very successful Funday. There were lots of activities arranged for the children such as egg & spoon races, 3 legged races, tug of war, an obstacle course, skipping activities and wellie throwing to mention a few ! There were also a variety of art activities. Many thanks to the PA and the parents who volunteered to help. There was wonderful excitement when the ice-cream van arrived. It was a well earned treat for all ! We also took the opportunity on Monday to raise our Water Flag which we recently received.

Vex

Vex Robotics – On Wednesday, 8th June our 6th Class participated in the Vex Robotics
competition at MTU. They were very successful on the day and won The Teamwork Award. A big thank you to Mr. O’
Callaghan who put a lot of time into preparing the team and the robot!

Cork City Sports

On Friday, 3rd June the school was very well represented at the annual City Sports at MTU. Congratulations to all who participated. On the day the girls under 11 relay team won 3rd place and the boys under 11 relay came 1st. Chris, Ethan, Peter, Conor and Ciara also won individual prizes!

Communion

Communion – On Sat 28th May, the 2nd Class pupils received their First Holy Communion.
They each received a beautiful personalised cupcake from the Parents Association the day
before. They did themselves and us proud!
