Oíche Shamhna Faoi Shona Daoibh!

The run-up to Hallowe’en provided the perfect thematic planning opportunity this week, ranging from Aistear to SESE and Literacy. Pumpkins are ideal for testing out theories on floating and sinking, what is your prediction??

Infants made spectacular potions and haunted houses whilst discussing how to stay safe over Hallowe’en using puppets, and I would strongly advise no arachnophobe enter the Aistear room! The week culminated in a Hallowe’en dance party and fashion parade, fabulously led by the very able and talented Student Council, and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Nature Walk

Junior Infants took full advantage of the glorious Autumn weather this week and went on an Autumn Scavenger hunt. They thoroughly enjoyed keeping a sharp eye out for all of the items on their list, and these junior botanists were very excited by all the signs of Autumn in their local community.
