This week 5^th and 6^th class had a very special musical treat. GMC Beats (aka Garry McCarthy) worked with the boys and girls for a one -day workshop called ‘A Song in a Day’. The children brainstormed themes in their pods. Then wrote & recorded their own rap song called ‘ Get Louder’. Each child had a role to play in the song & were thrilled to show off their talents. GMC, who himself is a well-known music producer in Cork, thought they were a very talented crew!  Very special thanks must go to the Arts Office in Cork County Council who funded this workshop through their Arts Grant scheme for Schools. It was a fantastic experience for all the children.
