During Lent, Mr McElroy challenged us to take a break from technology for a whole week. That meant no TV, video games, tablets etc!

We decided to do it as a fundraiser for Trócaire. They look after people in poor countries. We each got a sponsorship card and we got our family and friends to donate money.  Almost everyone in the class participated and we raised €467… Wow!

Many of us spent our evenings reading books, playing games and playing outside. It wasn’t actually as hard as we thought it would be!

Mr McElroy sent the money to Trócaire and they sent us back a thank you letter and a certificate.
